rara’s New Android App

Image

We’ve been working tirelessly, day and night on improving the user experience on our Android app and now finally it is ready to head out into the world – and we’re actually rather pleased with the results.

Having taken into account a lot of the feedback we received on the Google Play store we decided to improve the way you interact with the app and how to tailor rara to your needs – keeping this in mind we developed the functionality to enable you to create your own playlists on mobile and we popped them right at the very top of the app so you can access them and navigate them easily.

Image

We decided to give your ears something of an early Christmas present with Dolby Pulse High Quality audio which plays your favourite music at up to 320kpbs.

We’ve re-designed the app for Ice Cream Sandwich and Jellybean operating systems – for seamless navigation we adopted a tile based design not dissimilar to the style of Windows 8 so you can easily browse through your favourite channels, playlists and moods. We’ve brought the album artwork and other content to the forefront of the app to provide a brighter, more colourful experience to the app – so no more digging is necessary to check out the artwork on the latest releases.

We hope you enjoy the new app and as always any feedback you have is appreciated.

The MTV EMA’s descended upon Amsterdam this weekend which resulted in the kind of party that you’d expect from MTV – essentially a hugely expensive stage show featuring artists you’ve probably seen quite a lot of over the past few months who have recently released an album.

Miley Cyrus smoked a joint on stage and danced with a midget, Ron Burgundy was actually a great choice and kept the momentum going which was a blessing, Daft Punk rode a tandem bike, Justin Bieber won best male (for the 4th year running) – Presenters included Thirty Seconds To Mars front man Jared Leto, whose band won the award for Best Alternative, Breaking Bad’s RJ Mitte, singer-songwriter and actress Bridgit Mendler, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Dizzee Rascal, Ellie Goulding, Dutch singer/actress Carice van Houten (Game of Thrones) and Teen Wolf’s Colton Haynes.
